ARO lowers license tariffs

Starting from 1. Jänner 2007 is again lowered the license tariff for transportation packing of paper, cardboard, pasteboard and cardboard, raised in the ARA system, by seven per cent. Altogether the license tariffs for Papierverpackungen became - which are charged for the law-conformal retirement and/or disposal - halves since the year 2000. Economics and consumers save thereby opposite 2000 in the year 2007 altogether 22 millions euro.

For the collection and utilization of transportation packing from paper, cardboard, pasteboard and cardboard the Inverkehrsetzer pays 2007 only on 42 euro per ton (2000: 87 euro). The license tariff for consumer near sales packing made of paper, cardboard, pasteboard and cardboard remains 2007 with 105 euro per ton opposite 2006 invariably (2000: 203 euro). Transportation packing is disposed particularly in trades, trade and industry, sales packing usually lands in the waste paper containers of the households. Over 87 per cent of the packing from paper, cardboard, pasteboard and cardboard are already collected and supplied to the recycling in of Austria paper factories.
In addition says engineer Werner Knausz, managing director of the ARO waste paper recycling organization company, which organizes the collection and utilization of used packing from paper, cardboard, pasteboard and cardboard in Austria: „Recent reducing of the tariffs in price is the result of a continuous improvement of our collecting and utilization systems. Thus we cannot only do also in the future of Austria consumer and economics an efficient, but expressed an inexpensive system for the collection of used packing from paper, cardboard, pasteboard and cardboard to likewise offer. “
